Jace Talrow grew up in the crowded dock districts, raised by his father, a once-respected arcanist exiled for digging too deeply into forbidden magical knowledge.
Life after exile taught Jace how to survive with quick hands, quicker wit, and just enough charm to stay one step ahead of trouble. Between arcane notes scattered across their home and the tricks of the street, Jace learned to blend magic with misdirection long before he ever understood where his talents truly came from.
One night, his father vanished without explanation, leaving behind only fragments of cryptic research. Alone, Jace drifted from city to city as a thief, performer, and arcane trickster, quietly stealing more often from the wealthy than the desperate. Eventually his travels brought him to The Flaming Barrel Tavern, where a loud, chaotic group of adventurers somehow became the closest thing he’s ever had to a home. Jace still pretends he’s just passing through, but deep down, he’s beginning to realize some things are worth staying for.

Generally you wouldn't, he'd find you. Though if you did catch him in the act of something mischievous he wink, and maybe pass you a little something for your silence.
